Mundeshwari Temple stands on Piwara hill in Bhagwanpur, Kaimur. The stone building has an octagonal plan. The district description places the image of Mundeshwari in its eastern portion and a Panchmukhi Shiva lingam in the centre. These architectural and shrine details are more securely described than the competing claims about its exact age.
