Tea gardens form part of the landscape of Pothia and Thakurganj in Kishanganj. Bihar Tourism describes local soil and natural drainage as factors in their development. Its Ready Reckoner names Barman Tea Garden among the local tea manufacturers. These are working agricultural estates, so inclusion here does not imply permission to enter plantations or factories.
