In the record

The site is at Antichak in the Kahalgaon subdivision of Bhagalpur district.

Bihar Tourism identifies it as a centre of learning during the Pala period and attributes its establishment to Dharmapala.

The remains include brick stupa and monastery structures.

Before you go

Do not reuse the tourism page's precise travel distance without resolving its difference from the older BSTDC page (38 km versus about 50 km).

The image includes a smartphone watermark and modern visitors; do not present it as historic evidence of the functioning institution.
