The story

Valmiki National Park is named separately in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change’s list of national parks as on December 2019.

The same parliamentary annexure lists Valmiki Wildlife Sanctuary separately. The two protected-area names should not be substituted for one another.

Bihar Tourism describes the larger Valmiki Tiger Reserve through its Himalayan Terai forest setting and combination of bhabar and terai tracts in West Champaran.

The December 2019 list records 335.65 km² for Valmiki National Park and 545.15 km² for Valmiki Wildlife Sanctuary. These are distinct dated rows, not two measurements of the same current visitor area.

Do not use the larger tiger-reserve area as the national-park area. The source rows are dated December 2019.

The selected forest photograph is identified by its photographer as Valmiki Tiger Reserve; it does not establish a point inside the national-park boundary. Its caption must preserve that scope.

The existing Valmikinagar place entry remains distinct from this protected-area profile.

Species counts in the Tourism description are internally inconsistent and are not reproduced.

The record does not guarantee a tiger sighting, an open safari route, a booking, entrance access or current fees.
